A wonderful picture that manages to capture the whole of each character without coming off as static or stiff. The inking gives the picture some real depth without obscuring any details or overshadowing Mad's pencils.

The way Gamora's holding her sword is also eye catching. Most artists would have had her holding it out and perpendicular to the axis of her wrist, which is fine, but not as interesting. This not only offers up something somewhat novel, but adds a certain confirmation as a proficient martial artist. Her sword, carried as it is, remains out of her way yet simultaneously ready to use with a flick of her wrist. Mind you, we are commenting purely on the artistic merits of her stance and not seeking to imply any sort of expertise in true martial arts. In short, she looks cool holding it that way.

Rocket Raccoon - cool as always. Nothing says "awesome" better than a bipedal raccoon with a gun larger than his head! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>

If we had any critiques, we would would prefer the guns have a little more logic to them. The anime tradition of depicting guns with almost no rationality to them might turn out an awesome looking weapon, but having function take a back seat to form tends to distract us a little bit. This isn't a huge gripe since we understand comics, especially sci-fi comics, demand a certain level of audacity in design, but sometimes less is more.

All in all, a fantastic piece of work that all involved should be especially proud of!
